The light in the apartment can shine from various sources. But nothing can attract the attention of your guests so much as an uncommon chandelier. But the standard lightings bother you quickly in contrast to surprising designers’ works like forged masterpieces Kalotte by Sebastian Summa.

The masters of metallurgy create the real adornments for our houses: that can be home or outdoor furniture or decorations for any interior. This quite ancient trade reached astonishing heights in refinement and beauty of created things. Moreover in our century of wireless internet, sensor panels and gadgets, synthetic materials of all kinds this is the work for real lovers to found and forge in the old manner but forages.

Sebastian Summa is so-called industrial designer. He joins the searching and reconstruction of plants and forge shops with love to uncommon geometry and light. His creative searching reconstructed about one hundred forged shops and led him to the cooperation with designer studio Hugo Bräuer Metallwaren. Their child is the collection of wonderful lightings Kalotte that translates from German as “dome”.

Of course such lighting will not look appropriate in any apartment but the strict German charm comes to the placement together with him. And you will not be able to see yellow-blue-red-striped domes everywhere.
